Irrigation water analysis

Sidebar Image

Irrigation  is a hydrotechnical  measure of improving the physical properties of the soil by adding water  in order to achieve the most favorable moisture level  during the growing season and thus achieve optimal yield

In our laboratory, at the request of the client, we perform chemical - microbiological analysis of irrigation water according to the parameters specified in the  Technological Instructions for Integrated Production  issued each year by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Croatia.

Irrigation water parameter

Limit value

Temperature

35 ° C

Content of suspended solids

 100 mg / l

Content of solutes

2000 mg / l

Electrical conductivity

 2000 (mS / cm)

Nitrates

- for values higher than the limit,
their content should be taken into account in the
fertilizer balance

 10 mg / l

Sodium (Na)

70 mg / l

Chlorine (Cl)

 100 mg / l

microbiological properties of
irrigation water :

a) irrigation of plants, parts of which are  eaten raw or overcooked (except for
drip irrigation)

1000 total coliform bacteria MPN / l

b) irrigation of plants for processing

200,000 total coliform bacteria MPN / l
